I am having trouble printing. What should I do?

For any printing issues regarding the Creative Clips CDs, please be sure to do the following:

1. On the print page, click on Print Setup-Print Options. Uncheck the box that says "Keep Metafiles Intact" (or Option 1) and continue printing. This change will stay in effect unless you recheck the box.

2. To format our software to print in both modes, you may need to uncheck the "Keep Metafiles Intact" box, then print, then recheck the box and print again. This may or may not work on all computer/printer combinations.

3. If this change does not entirely correct the issue, make sure you use the different combinations of printing options, such as "Slow down print job", and other combinations as mentioned in the directions.

4. Finally, if none of the above will resolve the printing issues, please try copying the clip by clicking the COPY button at the top of the CK Image Browser, then open your word processor and select EDIT-PASTE from the menu, and see if the printing works normally from there.

Also, the latest update should correct this problem. Click here to go to our update download page.

I can't seem to run the program from the CD. Is there a solution?

If you run the Creative Clips program from the CD and get an error message, all that you have to do is close the error message window and the CK program, if it is still open, and then try again. You should just be able to open your CD drawer on the computer and close it again to restart the Creative Clips. The second time it should run normally, and continue working properly from the CD from that time forth.

If not, you will want to download and install this small update file. Download the file to your computer and double-click on it to run its setup program. Once installed, you can remove or delete the downloaded file from your computer.

Some of the clips images do not preview properly.

To remedy this, you'll need to use small fonts for your desktop icons. To do this, go to Start, Settings, Control Panel. Double click the Display icon, click the "settings" tab, then the "advanced" button. Under the "general" tab, for font size, make sure small fonts are selected.

Contact technical support if this does not correct the problem.

During installation, the program gets stuck on one of the TrueType fonts. Is there an other way to install?

If you are having any trouble with the program installation getting hung up on one of the font files, restart the installation program and choose the option for "Full Installation Without Fonts". This will install the program, and then you can install the fonts manually. Here's how:

With the CD in the CD drive, go to Start-Settings-Control Panel-Fonts (or Start-Control Panel-Fonts for XP). Then, select File-Install New Font from the menu. Under "Drives", select your CD drive. To the left, under "Folders", double-click the Fonts folder and all the fonts on the CD will appear in the list of fonts above. Click "Select All", then click "OK". Restart the computer and the fonts should be installed for use in your word processor.
