Problems installing Lettering Delights Supreme 3 on a computer running Windows 98/ME The installation problem you are having only occurs on computers with Windows 98 or Windows ME. The work around to the problem is to copy the CD to the hard drive and then run the installation from there. This is done by: First we need
to create a folder on your hard drive. Next
we need to copy the files from the CD to that LD3test folder. Now run the installation by clicking on the Setup.exe (it may just show Setup) in the LD3test folder. The program should then install properly. Once the installation is complete, you can delete the LD3test folder. We apologize for the error. Please let us know if you have any further questions. What do I do if I'm having printing problems? For any problems in printing from the LD Supreme software, please do the following: 1. On the print page, click the Print button in the bottom-right corner 2. Click the "Printer Troubleshooting" button when the print window opens (it's the one with the red-yellow-green lights on it) 3. Check the New WMF box. It has a note next to it to "try this option first". Click OK and try to print. If you still have printing problems, go to step 4. 4. Go back to the Printer Troubleshooting area and check the for HP Printers option. The note next to that states "try this option second). Then click on OK and print the document. 5. If printing problems continue to occur, you can try the other print troubleshooting options. Hints: "Slow Down Print Job" still prints the same results, but reduces the speed in which your computer sends a print job to the printer. Be sure to try that option. Also, the changes you make in the Print Troubleshooting window are not permanent and will reset each time you close the LD Supreme program. Please make a note of which settings work best for you so you can apply them again. We suggest you download and install the latest update to the LD Supreme program. For information on the latest update, please go to http://www.letteringdelights.com/ldUpdates/ldupdates.html How do I use the Text Box feature on the print page? After clicking the A button on the print page toolbar, place your mouse pointer on the white page and hold down the left side mouse button. Then, drag your pointer towards the bottom-right corner of the page, and release the mouse button. A text box will appear on the page and you can then type your text. Which alpahets can I buy from LetteringDelights.com to use in this program? Only the color alphabets that are specified for use in LD Supreme on the website will work in this program. The download files will start with the letter a, such as a_filename. Once you have downloaded your color alphabets from the website, double-click on each to run the setup program and install the alphabet into the LD Supreme program. TrueType fonts will only work in LD Supreme by using the text box tool on the print page. Can I change image attributes and qualities from the print page? No.
Even though the buttons for changing image properties are visible from the print
page, any changes of this type need to be made from one of the image or alphabet
pages of the program. Does it matter which order I install the LD Supreme, Little LDs, or soon to be released Jillustration CD packages? It does matter the order the programs are installed. However, usually if you install one out of order, reinstalling the latest version will correct any potential problems. If it does not, your best option is to backup your installed alphabets, Journaling Delights and Clip Art and then completely remove the programs. Then reinstall them in the correct order. Here is information to help you accomplish this and to let you know the correct order: 1. Make a backup of installed alphabets, Journaling
Delight sets and Clip Art. Here's how to do it: 1. Go to the C:\Program Files\LD Supreme\Alphabets\Color folder. Select all the alphabet folders(click on one and hit Ctrl and A on the keyboard that should select them all). Then copy these folders and place them in a backup folder (you may want to create one called LDBackup). To backup your installed Journaling Delights go to the C:\Program Files\LD Supreme\Images\Color\Journaling Delights folder. Select all the Journaling Delights folders. Copy these folders and paste them in the backup folder. For the Clip Art, go to the C:\Program Files\LD Supreme\Images\Color\Clip Art folder. Select all the Clip Art folders. Copy these folders and paste them in the backup folder. 2. To manually remove the program go to the hard drive C:\ and open the Program Files folder. Delete the folder called LD Supreme. That should remove the LD Supreme from your system. 3. Click on Start-Run. Type the word "regedit" (without quotes) and click OK. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER and SOFTWARE. Click directly on the folder called Inspire Graphics. If you only have the LD Supreme folder inside, delete the Inspire Graphics folder. If there are other folders, delete just the LD Supreme folder. Close the registry editor. 4. Reboot your machine. When it is up again, make sure all programs are closed (even your virus software). 5. Reinstall all your LD software CD's in the following order: Lettering Delights Supreme 6. Copy your alphabets, Journaling Delights and Clip Art back to the correct LD Supreme folders. See the correct location in step 1. Now you should be ready to run the program. | ||||||||
